Consumer interest in mobile payments is on the rise. To reach high adoption and usage, users need a solution that enables a seamless payment user experience and is secure. Mobile payments have been around for some time now with solutions like LevelUp and Square. The market became very saturated in 2015 in terms of solution providers. User adoption will really take off in 2016. In no small part, this will be thanks to the growing popularity of Apple Pay and Android Pay. Mobile payments are part of the checkout process, which also includes offers/coupons and loyalty. Solutions that tie all these together seamlessly for the user and painlessly for the businesses will win! For these reasons Starbucks replaced the Square solution with a different solution.
