L1 Technologies Releases
New SD GPS Package
June 01, 2007
 San Diego, California, June 1, 2007 – L1 Technologies,
creator of iGolfGPS v3.0 software for Palm® and Windows Mobile (WM) devices, has added an SD GPS receiver as part of a
new retail package. When installed, the receiver and software enable a Palm® or WM device to work as a mobile GPS device,
showing golfers distances to the green and other points on any golf course in the world.
“The iGolfGPS v3.0
software is a popular application with golfers who are avid PDA & Smartphone users,” explained David Alexander,
L1 Technologies Vice President of Sales. “Offering the new SD GPS receiver with the software allows our customers to
make their handheld device ready to help them out on the course easily and quickly.”
The new SD GPS receiver
was developed by L1 Technologies, a pioneer in the GPS technology field. Currently, it is the only receiver available that
has the required SDIO GPS driver to run on Palm® operating systems, such as the popular Treo™ line. It also includes
the SiRF Star III GPS chip, which significantly decreases the time it takes to receive a full satellite fix as well as maintain
the fix in areas where there are significant obstructions.
In addition to the iGolfGPS v3.0 software, the receiver
also functions with many other GPS applications. The SD GPS Package is available for $174.99 exclusively at the iGolf.com
Store.
